Thirty-one members of the Patriotic Order Sons of America, met in
Philadelphia, PA, the evening of July 18, 1905. They determined
to establish a Home where Brothers might enjoy care and companionship
when the needs of life overtake them. The plea was to possess a
Fraternal Home - so that no member, except of his own choice,
would be compelled to seek public charity for a place of living.
